Trekking in Langtang Region

This is the third most popular trekking region in Nepal that lies in the north of Kathmandu. This region is easily accessible by road. Trekking to this region offers the opportunity to explore Tamang villages, unique topography with vibrant climatic conditions. Much of the trekking trail passes through semi tropical forests where moss covers the ground and orchids cling to tree trunks This region delivers more amazing views in a short time than any other treks in Nepal, with the possible exception of the Annapurna and Everest region treks. The sacred lake of Gosainkunda is one of the highlights of the region. It is a much-revered holy lake for Hindus and Buddhists. Thousands of pilgrims from Nepal and India visit this lake during a full moon festival in the month of August One can also climb small peaks at a comfortably low elevation.
