Bhairab Kunda Trek
It is a newly-explored trekking route in Nepal. This trek is named after a holy lake –Bhairab Kunda and this Lake lies to the north east of Kathmandu. Next to this lake there also lies another popular lake which is called Panch Pokhari. Both the areas are off the beaten path and the trekkers must be self sufficient with camping gear and Nepalese crew. The starting point of this trek is from Jalbire, a small trading town accessible from Kathmandu by road. While trekking in this wilderness area one can observe the lifestyle of the local people, their culture, tradition and immerse oneself in the beauty of nature. From the top ridge of Bhairab Kunda one can have a full glimpse of Rolwaling range, jugal Himal and some of the Tibetan mountains as well.
