How do I get to Nepal
In order to fly directly to Nepal from you home country, Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu is the only international airport in Nepal. Thai airways, Gulf Air, Indian Airlines, Jet Airways, Korean Air, Ethiad Air, Silk Air, Air Arabia, Druk Air, Jet Lite, Dragon Air, Air China carry most of the foreign travelers to Kathmandu. If you buy tickets from any other airlines, you will probably connect with one of these airlines for the final leg of flight.
Alternatively, if you have valid visa, you can travel to Nepal via India and Tibet (China).

When is the best time to visit Nepal?
October and November are considered the best time of the year. The main festivals of Dashain and Tihar (greatest Hindu festivals) fall during these months. The sky remains clear having pleasant temperature. February – May is also good time for traveling, as you will see rhododendron blooming in the mountains while you are on trek. December and mid- February will be snowy and cold in the mountains.

What are my options to come to Nepal from India?
You can fly between Delhi and Kathmandu as there are many flights available in this sector.

Do I need visa to enter Nepal?
All foreign nationals, except Indian citizens, need visa to enter Nepal.

What do I need to get my visa?
You need a valid passport, two passport size photos and money.

Where do I apply to get my visa?
The best way to apply Nepalese visa is from the Nepalese diplomatic mission in your home country. The other option is to get it from Immigration office at any entry points of Nepal.

How to book the trip?

What are my options to come to Nepal from India?
Please note that Delhi- Kathmandu –Delhi flight is very busy and without proper reservations in advance it is difficult to get the seats.

Alternatively, you can travel overland to Nepal from India by bus. There are three main entry points: Sunauli-, Raxaul and Kakarvita. The sunauli border crossing is the best option to make entry into Nepal from Varanasi, the Birgunj crossing is the easiest from Calcutta and Kakarbhitta is the best crossing point from Darjeeling and Sikkim. These overland trips from India can be quite long and stressful and we do not recommend for those people who want to have carefree traveling.

Preparing a Trip for Tibet

Can I travel to Tibet by myself?
No, according to Chinese immigration rules and regulations, individual travel to Tibet is not allowed. You need to join a group and we can help you to make your travel permit and visa for Tibet.
What is the best time to visit Tibet?
The best time to travel to Tibet is between May and October. The weather during this time is pleasant, sunny and mild.

Do I need a guide when I go to Tibet?
The Chinese government requires that all travelers be accompanied by a tour guide at all times to take care to travel’s safety.

Could you give me some advice on clothing when traveling in Tibet
Temperature differs dramatically between day time and night. Lhasa, the capital city, could have a temperature around 10-25 centrigrade during daytime, but at night, temperature may plummet to 0 centrigrade or lower. You are advised to bring thick warm jackets for traveling to Tibet. The roads in some places are very dusty so you may also wear dark colored clothing.

What’s the standard of food in Tibet?
Tourism in Tibet is still in its infancy stage; therefore the quality of restaurants are not as high as in other parts of China. In Lhasa, Shigatse, and Lhatse you will have varieties of western food but in other parts of Tibetan/ Nepalese food are the main cuisines. However, the restaurants are usually clean even if they are basic in remote parts quite far away from major cities / towns.

What are the hotels like in Tibet?
The number of 5 star hotels in major cities of Lhasa, Shigatse and Gyantse is limited. These hotels have central heating which is used in winter but no cooling is available in summer.

FAQ Bhutan

01: Do I need a visa to enter Bhutan ?
Yes, visa is compulsory for all visitors entering Bhutan. You have to pay visa fee of US$ 20, upon arrival in Paro airport.  Your visa will be issued by stamping on your passport. In order to board Druk Air you need visa clearance. Your visa clearance will be forwarded to Druk Air after your visa is approved by Department of Immigration, Royal Government of Bhutan..

02: What is the best time to visit Bhutan?
The most suitable months are March, April and May. Other suitable season is autumn ,that is September, October and November where most of the festivals take place. June, July, and August are monsoon months, so it is likely that your program in Bhutan will be affected by rain. December, January and February can be extremely cold. Some of the treks in the high mountains may remain closed during heavily snowfall. 

03: What are the procedure to obtain a visa for Bhutan ?
We will process your visa for Bhutan. But you need to provide us your passport details, once your itinerary and travel date has been confirmed. You also have to transfer the necessary payments to us. The government of Bhutan will not issue visa clearance if all tariffs and Druk Air fees are not cleared in advance. Your visa application must reach Bhutan before three weeks of your arrival date for processing time. When you are filling up visa application make sure, your name and other necessary information must appear exactly same as in your passport, otherwise Druk Air will not allow you to board the plane. Also, you are suggested to bring two passport-size photographs each person that you will need for immigration when you request your visa at Airport.

04: How do I enter Bhutan?
It's possible to enter Bhutan via Druk Air from below  mentioned cities;
New Delhi (India), Bangkok (Thailand), Kathmandu (Nepal), Kolkatta (India),
Dhaka (Bangladesh), Rangoon (Myanmar).
Other alternatives to get inside and exit Bhutan are by road from West Bengal (Indian State) to Phuntsholing (Bhutan's commercial town), and Samdrup Jongkhar (Bhutan's town) – Only for EXIT at present in southeast of Bhutan.
NOTE: Paro International Airport is only Airport of Bhutan. It's is mandatory by government to use Druk Air at least one way.

07: Can the guide speak English fluently?
All guides can speak, read and write English very well. 

08: Can I create or customize itineraries of my own?       
You can also create your own itineraries to meet your particular needs and travel dates. 

09. What does it cost to visit Bhutan?
The International Tourist Tariff is set by the Royal Government of Bhutan and is valid for all inclusive packages. The tariff is divided into a high season and a low season rate. The rates are the same for cultural tours, treks or any other special interest tours.

10. When should I pay for my tour?
It is best to pay for your tour at least four weeks before the date of arrival. This will give enough time for the Royal Government of Bhutan to clear your visa formalities (which is done only after the payment is received). For visits during the peak season in March, April, May, September, October, & November, it is advisable to make your payment 12 weeks in advance. This is to enable us to make a confirmed booking for you on the airline, since seats are in high demand during these months.

11. How should I pay for my tour payment?
The best way to transfer money is through wire or bank transfer. We will provide you all the necessary information once the tour is confirmed with us.

12. Can I use credit cards in Bhutan?
Credit cards are accepted in very few hotels and shops in the capital and towns. All credit card transactions take extra time and are cumbersome to use. For convenience, it is preferable to have travelers’ cheques and cash.
